Russia Day is one of the youngest state holidays, which is celebrated annually on June 12. It was on this day in 1990 that the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation was adopted, which became an important stage in the history of our country. The adoption of the declaration marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of Russia, the strengthening of its statehood, democracy and national unity. Since 1992 this day has become an official holiday, and since 2002 it has received its modern name - Russia Day.
